Hello.
Love your podcast. I’m a dumdum so books like Patrick Rothfuss’ usually sail high above my head. Being able to hear the insights and observations you both bring to the material lets me get so much more from them, so a thousand ‘thank you’s for that.
I do enjoy the Kingkiller Chronicles, especially the way the author has subverted the genre. Hated the Feludrian part, loved the Adem part, and fuck Denna. Everytime she miraculously shows up out of nowhere my eyes almost roll out of my face.
I am an avid fantasy reader, but I generally prefer them simple. In the same way I like movies full of bombs and boobs, I like my fantasy bursting with buxom wenches, daring deeds and hummingbirds kissing honeyroses. Like I said, a dumdum.
Presently, I am reading the Raven’s Shadow series by Anthony Ryan, and Wolf in/of the North by Duncan Hamilton. Both page turners, Raven’s Shadow the more enjoyable of the two, in my humble opinion.
I look forward to reading Lies of Locke Lamore and then listening to your much more informed opinions about it.
